My oldest son, Daniel, lives in Tacoma, Washington with his new bride, Katie, that he married a year ago this March.
For the past few years, Daniel has worked for Davita, a kidney care company, in the accounting department. He uses his special gifts and abilities to hunt down inconsistencies in billing, saving millions of dollars for his employer. He specializes in Medicare and Medicaid billing, the most difficult type since there are many and varied rules and laws governing these programs that are different in each state.
Daniel also values service in his life, acting as the President of the board for Serve the Children, a ministry our family has been involved with for over twenty years. He dedicates countless hours each month to helping children in India, Liberia, and Zambia have hope and a future.
In his spare time, Daniel is a HUGE football fan. He can easily watch a dozen games a week. His favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks, get top billing on his TV, but he’ll gladly watch exciting matchups from teams across the country. He also participates, along with Katie, in a Fantasy Football league where he and his friends compete to create the ultimate mash up of professional football teams.
When he’s not watching football, Daniel enjoys movies – whether in the theater or on his TV at home – and playing games. He’s well versed in the lore and craft of Dungeons and Dragons, which he DMs for his friends and family often. But he doesn’t limit his game playing to RPGs, Daniel loves lots of board and card games, with some of his favorites being long play strategy games like Axis and Allies.

She is more than a caretaker of the skies; she is also a flight attendant instructor, spending about half her work life on the ground, guiding the next generation of crew and ensuring that every journey is as safe as it is inspiring. Her leadership and kindness ripple through her airline community, where she is both a trusted mentor and a beloved colleague.
Though her current home base is Anchorage, Alaska, Louise’s life is a tapestry woven from many places. She is currently on her fourth apartment since moving to Alaska, sharing her space—and her laughter—with her friend and co-worker, Amanda. Jon’s musical journey began at the tender age of nine, when he first picked up a classical guitar. What started as a child’s curiosity soon flourished into a lifelong passion. Over the years, Jon has mastered nearly every instrument with strings: from acoustic and 12-string guitars to mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and electric bass. His innate musicality allows him to breathe life into any instrument he touches, delighting those lucky enough to hear him play.
As a child, Jon was never one to sit still. He was a standout swimmer, particularly noted for his graceful and powerful butterfly stroke. Professionally, Jon serves as a therapist with Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane, where his empathy and intellect shine. Recently promoted to Senior Clinician, Jon is a vital member of a PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment) team. His work takes him to homes, shelters, jails, and mental health institutions—wherever people in need are found. The individuals Jon supports are living with active psychosis, and he meets every challenge with compassion, resourcefulness, and a steadfast commitment to their well-being.
Jon currently makes his home in Spokane, WA, with his girlfriend of two years, Dany. While Spokane is where he lives and works, his heart is not rooted there—Jon is open to new places and opportunities beyond the city. Together, Jon and Dany share a love of good food, lively company, and the simple pleasures that make life memorable. Dany’s path led her from the familiar streets of Richland to Spokane, where she attended Eastern Washington University. There, she channeled her endless curiosity and drive into earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology—a testament to both her determination and the sense of justice that fuels her dreams. Today, Dany lives out that dream in a career with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, serving her community and thriving in a role she long aspired to hold.
A lifelong dog lover, Dany’s joy is never far from her four-legged friends or her close-knit family. She treasures every visit home, keeping the bond with Dan and Lynn unbreakably strong. Life has asked much of Dany from an early age. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at just five years old, she has long known the intricate challenges that come with managing a chronic illness. More recently, facing a diagnosis of Celiac Disease, she met it as she does all things: with courage, resolve, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Rather than slow her down, these obstacles have only sharpened her resilience, making her stronger and more compassionate, always ready to meet each new day with a fighting spirit.
Dany’s passions extend well beyond work and family. Alongside her boyfriend Jon, she’s become a familiar face at concerts big and small—from the electric rush of a packed club to the sprawling energy of a festival at the Gorge. Journey’s drive was evident from a young age. While attending Clover Park Technical College, he poured himself into the study of collision repair, mastering the skills of his chosen trade. Juggling the demands of school and work, Journey began his professional journey as a Lube Tech at Toyota of Puyallup. The experience gained in those formative years laid the groundwork for what was to come.
In true Journey fashion, he didn’t just settle—he soared. Upon earning his Associate’s Degree, Journey was promoted to the Main Shop at Toyota of Puyallup, where he has thrived. His talents as a mechanic are well known, and he has become indispensable to his team. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and unyielding work ethic, Journey is the person others turn to when a job needs to be done right.
Journey’s mechanical skills extend beyond the shop floor. Whether it’s fixing his grandparent’s lawn mower, overhauling a family friend’s drive shaft, or simply lending a hand to anyone in need, his willingness to serve knows no boundaries. He is notorious for pulling over to help stranded motorists, offering a door-holding hand to strangers, and stepping up at every opportunity.
